Journalists looking for information on the most appropriate ways of reporting emotional crises or mental health issues - including suicide - may like to refer to the guidelines by the Samaritans which are supported by most media organisations and professional bodies.

Supporting older people at higher risk during hot weather
Heat-related illness can affect anyone, and over the past week we have seen a high number of people attending urgent and emergency services in need of care. Challenges caused by the rising temperature also led to Queen Alexandra Hospital declaring a Critical Incident on Wednesday 24 June.

Heatwave health advice, stay safe and well in the hot weather
Advice and guidance on staying safe in the heat. The UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) and the Met Office have issued red Heat-Health Alerts for London and the South East, alongside amber Extreme Heat Warnings, as temperatures are forecast to rise into the high 30s and could approach 40°C in some areas later this week.

Intensive care babies first to benefit from new way of sharing point of care scans
A new approach to sharing diagnostic images captured by doctors at the point of care is informing time-critical decisions for some of the most unwell babies in hospital with patients in emergency and intensive care settings set to benefit next.
