When you come to hospital for cancer care, you may meet many different teams and departments. Each one plays an important role in your diagnosis, treatment and ongoing care.

  • Oncology outpatient clinic – appointments with Oncology consultants (B Level at QA Hospital, Haematology and Oncology Reception: 02392 286000 extension 1516)
  • Chemotherapy – If your treatment involves chemotherapy, immunotherapy, or other drugs, you’ll usually come here. (Haematology and Oncology Day Unit: 02392 286000 extension 3018)
  • Radiotherapy – If your treatment includes radiotherapy, you’ll meet this team. They use targeted radiation to treat cancer, and they’ll carefully plan your treatment with you. (Haematology and Oncology, B-Level Booking office: 023 92 286000 extension 3274)
  • Blood tests and PICC line care – based in Haematology and Oncology Outpatients B-Level, please call to book blood appointments on 02392 286000 extension 4764 and PICC line care on 02392 286000 extension 3117
  • Acute Oncology Service (AOS) - AOS provides urgent support for people with cancer who need care quickly. Our specialist team will assess your needs, help manage symptoms or treatment side effects, and make sure you are directed to the right care at the right time. (02392 286000 extension 3316)
  • Inpatient wards – Sometimes you may need to stay in hospital for treatment, recovery, or extra support. Our ward teams provide expert care during this time. (Ward F5 extension 3265/3288, Ward F6 extension 5388, Ward F7 extension 3260)
  • Supportive care teams – Alongside your treatment, you may be supported by dietitians, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, counsellors, and palliative care teams to help with your overall wellbeing.
