Cardiologists diagnose, assess and treat patients with defects and diseases of the heart and the blood vessels, which are known as the cardiovascular system.

Our Cardiology team at PHU envisage that the majority of outpatient cardiac referrals would come to one of our general clinics in the first instance.

Once an assessment has been made, they may be directed into one of our specialist clinics, which include heart failure, adult congenital heart disease, nurse-led coronary intervention follow-up, cardiac re-synchronisation therapy (CRT) and echocardiography.
