M27 closure: Junctions 9-11 of the M27 will be closed in both directions between 24 Dec 2025 (from 8pm) and 4 Jan 2026 (4am). If you have an appointment with us during this time, please plan in advance how you will get there as travel may take longer than usual. Read more here.
Mask wearing: To help protect patients, visitors, and staff, we have introduced mask wearing in some areas of Queen Alexandra Hospital and are encouraging visitors to join staff in wearing one too. Masks are available by the entrances.
Our teams are working hard to safely care for our patients and there are a few things you can do to help.
If you are experiencing any symptoms of COVID or flu including cough, loss of taste and smell, or a temperature, please do not visit until you are better.
If you have diarrhoea or vomiting, or if you have had these symptoms, please do not visit the hospital until you have been free of them for 48 hours.
If you are visiting our sites, please wash your hands with soap and water regularly. Hand gel is available but does not protect against Norovirus (diarrhoea or vomiting).
If you need urgent medical advice that isn't an emergency, please visit our Know Where to Go page for help on services available.
