There will be temporary changes to pedestrian and vehicle access at the East Entrance at Queen Alexandra Hospital on Saturday 26 September while crane works take place.

Between 6am and 12pm, a crane will be used to lift safety rails and solar panels onto the roof of the Emergency Department as part of the Solar Roof Project.

During this time, pedestrian access and vehicle movements in the area will be carefully managed. People using the East Entrance may experience some disruption and should follow signs and directions from staff on site.

Emergency vehicles and patient transport will continue to have access throughout the works, with emergency vehicles given priority at all times.
