We have introduced a new online appointment booking system for routine blood tests across our services. By introducing this, we hope to make it easier for patients to plan their visit, book ahead and choose a convenient time for them.
Please read the information below to find out more.
Children's Blood Taking Service
The children's blood taking service is available by appointment only for children aged 0 to 13 years.
Parents and carers should bring their child's blood test request form to their appointment.
Appointments can now be booked online through our booking system: https://
If you are unable to access the online booking system, or you need to arrange a fasting blood test, please call: 07707 296876 (Monday to Friday, 9am to 4pm)
Children aged 14 years and over are encouraged to use the adult blood taking service.

Patients can book appointments up to four weeks in advance using the online booking system: https://
If you are unable to use the online booking system, please call: 02392 681755 (Monday to Friday, 9am to 2.30pm)
A member of the team will be happy to help arrange your appointment.
Important information for oncology patients
These changes do not affect oncology blood taking services. Oncology patients can continue to access blood tests before appointments and treatments as they do currently.
However, patients who currently book blood tests at C Level, Queen Alexandra Hospital will now need to use the online booking system or telephone booking service outlined above.
