Important information
Temporary closure of Curie Road (Emergency Department drop-off/walk-in road) at QA Hospital
So that we can safely carry out repairs to some of the windows at QA Hospital, we need to close the road leading to and from the Emergency Department walk-in drop-off area (Curie Road) on Sunday 16 March from 7.30am to 12.30pm. This means there will be no road access to the Emergency Department drop-off/pick-up area during this time, however access to the Eye Department drop-off area will remain possible.
If you are dropping someone to the Emergency Department while it is closed, we encourage you to drop off either by the Eye Department or one of our other entrances. Walk-in access to the Emergency Department will remain open throughout and ambulances will continue to use the ambulance only bays. As soon as the work is completed, then the road will be reopened. Thank you for your patience during this time.
Temporary closure of the North Entrance at QA Hospital
The North Entrance at QA Hospital is currently closed. An alternative walk-in entrance is available by the B-level Haematology and Oncology Unit, but patients are encouraged to enter the hospital via the Main Entrance (accessible 24 hours a day) and East Entrance (7.45am to 9pm).
