The Fraud and Security Management Service is a shared service hosted by NHS Hampshire, Southampton and Isle of Wight Clinical Commissioning Group, based at The CommCen Building, Fort Southwick.

Portsmouth Hospitals University NHS Trust fully support the aims of the NHS Counter Fraud Authority in combating fraud and corruption committed within or against the NHS, to help maximise the resources for patient care. We regularly review our strategies so that we can reduce our exposure to fraudulent and corrupt activity. This includes meeting our obligations to appoint a Local Counter Fraud Specialist (LCFS) who is an accredited professional criminal investigator. The LCFS works with staff throughout the organisation to raise the awareness of fraud, introduce prevention and deterrence measures and investigate legitimate concerns.

Concerns about NHS fraud can be reported in confidence to the NHS Counter Fraud Authority (NHSCFA) via the national fraud and corruption reporting line: 0800 028 4060 or contacting www.cfa.nhs.uk/reportfraud

Further information about the local service from your LCFS is available at www.nhsfraudandsecurity.co.uk
