The Day Surgery Unit allows you to be admitted to PHU for surgery or a procedure and to be discharged home on the same day. It’s for patients who do not need to stay overnight on a ward and makes the surgery more convenient for them.
The Day surgery services include:
- Pre and Post Operative Care for Patients undergoing Day Case Surgery.
- Adult patients (over 16 years of age) whose procedure meets the Day Surgery Criteria.
- Appointments are made by referrals from Outpatients Consultation.
Our reception is open Monday to Friday, 7:00am - 7:00pm and we have Day Surgery Ward Recovery Monday to Thursday, 7:00am - 10:00pm and Friday 7:00am - 8:00pm
Day Surgery, D Level, Lift Area 7, turn right out of the lift on to the main corridor. Turn left and Day Surgery is on the right (approx. 50 yards).
