My story
Chloe Richardson
ESR and Induction Co Ordinator
What made you become an administrator? - I left school and wanted to pursue an apprenticeship. I was offered a business and administration level 2 apprenticeship at QA as a receptionist with HTP apprenticeship college. I felt like this would be an exciting opportunity to start my career. As part of the learning and development team, you have a real understanding of how many administration career pathways are available at PHU.

Being in learning and development you know about how many Administration job pathways are available at PHU.
How did you become an administrator? - I achieved my Business and Administration Level 2 qualification from working on Education centre reception. Then I started as a maternity cover for a colleague in the department as a Post Graduate Administration for just over a year. This gave me the underpinning knowledge for Inductions for new junior doctors starting within the Trust. I then was given the opportunity to over a colleague’s long-term sick as ESR and Induction Coordinator at the same department. Which I am now working in now as my own role.
What do you do on a day to day basis? - I organise and prepare Inductions for all new starters, making sure there first few weeks are as smooth as possible. I prepare the HCSW inductions, Trainee Doctors Inductions and Corporate Inductions. I also deal with ESR queries and transferring new starters Competencies compliance matrix over. I also organise the MOD’s, Volunteers, International nurses and external leaners Inductions and ESR accounts
Why did you choose PHU? - I have a lot of family that work within the hospital and have heard nothing but good things about the career pathways and the employee benefits. It is also very close to where I live. I enjoy working in such a friendly and welcoming environment.
What do you enjoy about being an administrator? - I enjoy meeting new starters joining various departments and welcoming them into PHU.
