Chaplaincy

The Chaplaincy Team is employed by the Trust to meet spiritual and religious needs of patients, relatives and staff of all faiths or of no faith at all. They are supported by a trained team of voluntary Chaplaincy Assistants.

Chaplains are available 24 hours a day, with an emergency call-out service when outside of normal working hours. They listen and talk to patients and relatives, providing words of comfort, Prayer and even bedside services when appropriate.

The team can contact local leaders of a large number of different faiths upon request. A referral for patient care can be completed by family, friends, medical staff and faith communities. For those anticipating admission, it is recommended to inform the Chaplaincy in advance of their arrival so preparations can be made.

How to find the Chapel and Multi-faith room

A level map

The Chapel is located through the main A level Reception. If you pass the lifts on the left side following the corridor, you will also pass the Shop and a Costa Coffee, then on your left is the Chapel (Next to No. 3 on the map). The Chaplaincy Offices are located on B level but are difficult to find, so we will often come to you.
