Messages for loved ones and keeping in touch

We recognise the impact that a long stay in hospital can have on families and the importance of maintaining strong communication.  Our ward staff are keeping in touch with patients’ next of kin directly and our Voluntary Services team can help pass on personal messages from family and friends.

Ongoing disruption to telephone lines at Queen Alexandra Hospital site

Date: 01 July 2021

Last updated: 3.41pm on Tuesday 20 July 2021

We continue to have ongoing issues with the telephone lines at the Queen Alexandra Hospital site and while some calls are getting through, you may face delays. We are also having intermittent issues calling out. We continue working closely with external partners to find a solution.

You can help us by only calling the hospital if urgent as additional pressure on the working lines may cause further disruption.

We are working on additional ways you can get in touch with us urgently including the numbers below, as well as email addresses for non-urgent and appointment queries.

If you need to contact us about an appointment

If you need to change or cancel an outpatients appointment, you can do this online or by emailing: pho-tr.pht-obcreferrals@nhs.net.

If you need to contact us urgently about an imminent outpatient appointment or inpatient care, please call us on 02392 681700.

Please help us by only calling if you need to contact us urgently today.
