Messages for loved ones and keeping in touch

We recognise the impact that a long stay in hospital can have on families and the importance of maintaining strong communication.  Our ward staff are keeping in touch with patients’ next of kin directly and our Voluntary Services team can help pass on personal messages from family and friends.

QA Hospital experiencing phone line disruption

Date: 15 March 2022

Update - Thursday 17 March, 3.55pm

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

We are currently experiencing intermittent issues with the telephone lines at the Queen Alexandra Hospital site.

Due to the issues, our switchboard is receiving a larger than usual number of calls, which are causing the lines to drop out and people can’t always get through.

To help reduce pressures on the switchboard system, please only contact them if your call is urgent and use direct lines where possible.

Engineers are on site and we will keep you updated.

Thank you for your patience and support.

Outpatient appointments

Our outpatients booking centre is also receiving a large number of calls, so please use the online form if you need to change or cancel your appointment.
