Chaplaincy Volunteers

The Chaplaincy is supported by a large number of volunteers who undertake a variety of tasks within the wider Chaplaincy team, including:-

  • Escorting patients to and from the Chapel services - see below*:
Sunday 10.30am and 4.00pm (RC Mass)
  • Playing the Organ
  • Administrative tasks
  • Pastoral visiting - see below**

*Escorts: Some Chaplaincy Wheelers come as a team from their church to provide escorts one Sunday each month, others come as individuals.

**Pastoral visiting: Some volunteers train as Chaplains' Assistants and visit patients on a weekly basis.
