Paediatrics

Today’s Research is Tomorrows Treatment!

Paediatric Research is a recent addition to the wide range of paediatric specialities currently based in the children’s department at QA Hospital.

As a Research Department we offer children and their families a wide range of research study activity within a designated paediatric health care setting.  The medical, nursing and management team are committed to the delivery of robust best evidence based treatment and care for children and their families.
Research is fundamental to the development of new treatments and progress our existing knowledge and practice for the benefit of our patients health and well-being.  Our vision is to offer all children and their family’s access to clinical research as part of their clinical pathway and to support them through all aspects of their journey as a research participant.

Our department consists of Research Nurses supported by a number of Consultants, Specialist Nurses, Inpatient and Out-patient staff, all working together to improve patient care and treatment.
