SET – Superficial Endometriosis Treatment. A randomised single-blind trial to investigate the effectiveness of Bipolar versus Monopolar diathermy treatment on pain symptoms for women with newly diagnosed endometriosis.
Around 1 in 10 women will need prolapse surgery at some point in their lives and 48 women have volunteered to join our study to find which type of surgery for prolapse gives better outcomes for women.
Endometriosis is diagnosed in 1 in 10 women of reproductive age.To date there is no known cure, although 20 women have volunteered to help us find a better way to manage their pain.
We will continue to expand our Gynaecology Research portfolio and hope to be able to offer trials in studies relating to Fibroids, Heavy Menstrual Bleeding and Endometriosis in the near future.
