Car parking facilities are available in the hospital grounds but, at times it is very busy, so allow adequate time to get to your appointment. There is a camera recognition system and charges are applicable. There is a pay machine outside of the Hospital’s Main Reception, so please pay prior to leaving the site. Disabled car parking spaces are also available outside the Centre (please complete paperwork for this when you arrive at Reception).
The Centre provides a regional prosthetic service to people living in Portsmouth, Southampton, Hampshire and some areas of West Sussex. It is one of over 40 such centres across the UK and is also one of nine enhanced Veterans Care Centres which provide specialist prosthetic and rehabilitation services for veterans whose amputation is attributed to their military service.
An assessment for an artificial limb will be carried out at the Centre.
The Centre is open from Monday to Friday 08.30 hours until 16.30 hours, all year round, except for bank holidays. Prosthetic clinics are run for both adults and children, who can be either upper or lower limb amputees, or both.
Leaflets 1-5 and the leaflet on emotional health have been embedded.
