Joint Hospital Group(South) and Portsmouth NHS Trust have had a long established relationship. Doctors, Nurses and other Allied Health Care professionals from the Royal Navy, Army and Royal Air Force have worked at the Queen Alexandra Hospital since April 2005.

Mission Statement

"To provide highly capable secondary healthcare personnel for operations and deliver the Role 4 patient

pathway in order to support the physical and moral components of Fighting Power".

 

Joint Hospital Group(South) is the largest in the UK with approximately 260 personnel. The Commanding Officer Wing Commander Emma Redman PMRAFNS continues to build on the cohesive relationship between the MOD and the Trust.

Striving to progress and develop military personnel within clinical areas and aiming to promote clinical governance, mitigate risk and liaise at executive level, Wing Commander Redman endorses the military ethos by supporting interaction with local community agencies, engaging with the media and encouraging her personnel to fund raise for local and national charities.
