We run our patient clinics for the assessment of patients with all foot and ankle problems ranging from the straightforward to the complex; both acute and chronic. The clinics include a tertiary referral clinic for complex foot and ankle problems to enable a combined opinion for patients from:
Following assessment in these clinics patients are then either referred on for orthotic insoles or physiotherapy when appropriate, or listed for surgery which we undertake ourselves.
We also manage the complex foot and ankle trauma cases and run a dedicated foot and ankle trauma operating list for these.

We have a fellow (senior trainee) joining the unit in the near future which is an exciting development- it will improve access for patients and our research potential.
