Messages for loved ones and keeping in touch

We recognise the impact that a long stay in hospital can have on families and the importance of maintaining strong communication.  Our ward staff are keeping in touch with patients’ next of kin directly and our Voluntary Services team can help pass on personal messages from family and friends.

St Mary's Urgent Treatment Centre

We can provide a fast, convenient service for those who have a minor injury or illness.

Our team of multidisciplinary practitioners can offer treatment, advice and information for a range of minor injuries and illnesses. Our waiting times can be considerably less than emergency departments and we work with our local emergency department to help patients make the appropriate choice for the care they need.

If you’re unsure of where to go and require further advice, please call 111. In an emergency, always dial 999.

The majority of patients can be seen and treated by our skilled nurse practitioners and paramedic practitioners. We will assess your clinical need and allocate you to the appropriate clinician.

We treat both adults and children, and we have a separate children’s waiting area with play facilities and children’s TV.

 

 

Opening hours

GPs are on site between 10:00am -2:00pm, and 4:00pm-8:00pm.

The unit is open to all NHS patients, no appointments required.

• St Mary’s Treatment Centre, Portsmouth – 0333 200 1822  Monday to Sunday, 8am to 8pm, including bank holidays.

• Gosport War Memorial Hospital – 023 9279 4753  8am to 9pm every day

• Petersfield Community Hospital - 01730 263221 8am to 6pm every day
