Messages for loved ones and keeping in touch

We recognise the impact that a long stay in hospital can have on families and the importance of maintaining strong communication.  Our ward staff are keeping in touch with patients’ next of kin directly and our Voluntary Services team can help pass on personal messages from family and friends.

After suspending visiting earlier in the year, we are now able to offer limited visiting to some wards at the discretion of the nurse in-charge.”

Day Surgery Unit

Service for:

  • Pre and Post Operative Care for Patients undergoing Day Case Surgery.
  • Adult patients (over 16 years of age) whose procedure meets the Day Surgery Criteria.
  • Appointments are made by referrals from Outpatients Consultation.

Opening hours

Reception Monday to Friday, 7:00am - 7:00pm

Day Surgery Ward Recovery Monday - Thursday, 7:00am - 10:00pm and Friday 7:00am - 8:00pm

Day Surgery, D Level, Lift Area 7, turn right out of the lift on to the main corridor. Turn left and Day Surgery is on the right (approx. 50 yards).
