During your stay in hospital you will meet a number of different members of staff. All members of staff wear name badges, but if you are not sure who someone is or what they do, please feel free to ask them to introduce themselves and explain what they do.

The Colposcopy service is located at Queen Alexandra Hospital in the Gynaecology outpatients department. Level D, Lift area 2.
Colposcopy clinics run Monday to Friday morning and afternoon sessions.

You will be referred to the clinic by direct referral from the screening programme if you have had an abnormal smear test. Your GP will refer you for any other conditions that require investigation at the Colposcopy clinic. The clinic does not accept self-referrals. Patients will be seen within two, four or six weeks depending on the referral.
You may bring one relative/friend for support with you to the clinic.
