Messages for loved ones and keeping in touch

Our Strategy – Working Together, Improving Together

Our strategy sets out our vision, values, strategic aims and most importantly, how we will deliver against these ambitions for our patients, communities, and people in the future.

It is not just a document, it is for and about everyone at PHU, building on what we have achieved with a renewed focus on continuous improvement and the need to continue to work together and improve together to achieve our goals.

A full copy of the strategy can be downloaded here.

For more information, please visit our strategy webpage.

There are lots of opportunities for you to get involved with the Trust, from volunteering to attending our public meetings, our Annual General Meeting or our hospital open day which is held every year.

    Southern Endometriosis Centre

    (BSGE Accredited Centre)

The endometriosis clinic at Queen Alexandra Hospital will see patients from all over the southern region, many who have been referred from their GP because they require a specialist opinion. We work with a variety of patients, including those awaiting diagnosis or others who may have a long history of the condition.

On your first visit, you will be seen by a specialist consultant or their registrar who will take a detailed history from you, including current medications and previous surgery. If any further investigations are required the consultant can organise these for you.

We offer Endometriosis specialist clinics. Clear treatment pathways are agreed with women affected with the condition; this may mean surgery but could also involve pain medication, hormonal treatments or lifestyle advice.
