Messages for loved ones and keeping in touch

We recognise the impact that a long stay in hospital can have on families and the importance of maintaining strong communication.  Our ward staff are keeping in touch with patients’ next of kin directly and our Voluntary Services team can help pass on personal messages from family and friends.

After suspending visiting earlier in the year, we are now able to offer limited visiting to some wards at the discretion of the nurse in-charge.”

Audiology

D level

The audiology department / hearing clinic carry out outpatient consultations with diagnostic hearing and balance testing for adults and children.

The team offers rehabilitation services for tinnitus and balance. Our department supports patients with non-age related hearing difficulties, including fitting and maintaining a variety of hearing aids.

Some services are offered on sites other than the department at Queen Alexandra Hospital. If you have an appointment, please check your letter carefully before attending. 

Opening hours

Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5pm

Referral information

Referrals are made via GP, health visitor, school nurse and other professionals involved with your care.
