South Downs at Night 2022

Following part of the famous South Downs Way, you'll battle fatigue, the elements and the demanding terrain of one of southern England's newest national parks.

Are you looking to take part in a unique challenge this year?

Push yourself to the limit and take part in a night time trek through the South Downs National Park. The route starts just past Brighton and covers a marathon distance of 42km, including a gruelling hike on top of England's highest chalk cliffs.

After walking all night, your hard work will not only be rewarded with break-taking views across the South Downs but you'll also receive a celebratory glass of champagne and cooked breakfast.

In 2016, the National Park was granted International Dark Sky reserve status, making it one of the best places in the country to view the night sky.

"The challenge was just as tough as I was expecting but I feel great now I've done it! It's definitely one of the best things I've ever done and I've made memories which is what life is all about!" - Jen, took part in 2021.
