St Mary's Hospital is located centrally within the heart of Portsmouth itself. The hospital is on the Eastern side of the city .

From the West

Follow the M27 and use exit 12 (Cosham). At the roundabout, take the third exit towards Southsea (Eastern Road). Follow this road until you reach the traffic lights at the end. Turn right into Milton Road and at the next set of traffic lights turn left into St Mary's Hospital. Parking can then be found either immediately to the left by the Ella Gordon Unit or just past the main maternity entrance to the right (Finchdean House).

From the East

Follow the A3M south towards the M27. Take sliproad marked for Southsea. At the roundabout take the 1st exit marked for Southsea (Eastern Road). Follow this road until you reach the traffic lights at the far end. At these lights turn right into Milton Road, just before the traffic lights turn left into St Mary's Hospital. Turn immediately left again and follow the hospital road for a short distance whereby the public car park can be found to your left.

By Public Transport

By Bus

There is a range of bus services which have stops either in Milton Road, or within a short distance of the hospital entrance. The following First Bus services stop outside the hospital on Milton Road:  6, 6A, 1C and 19. For further information visit First Bus, Stagecoach or Traveline or phone 0871 200 22 33.

By Train

For patients or visitors coming to St Mary's by train, the nearest train station is 'Fratton'. From here we would recommend taking a taxi to St Mary's. For further information visit www.nationalrail.co.uk or phone 08457 48 49 50.

Portsmouth Hospitals NHS Trust’s Deputy Head of Midwifery, Jayne Jempson and James Barkshire, IT technician, have been shortlisted for a national award for their involvement in introducing the maternity ‘digipen’ to the community midwives of the Trust.
