Patient Transport

We understand that coming to hospital can be daunting experience and some of our patients need help getting here.

Patient transport is allocated on medical need only, based on your inability to use your own, public or a relative’s transport. Patient transport is only booked by your GP or your consultant at the hospital. If you think you require patient transport please speak to your GP or consultant at your next appointment.

Patient transport can be booked for people who are coming to hospital for an outpatient appointment and those having an elective procedure that will affect their ability to get home afterwards.

Patient transport is not a service for visitors or relatives.
