The Chaplains are employed by Portsmouth Hospitals NHS Trust. They work together with a large number of volunteer assistants. Here is a little about us:-

Revd Carolyn Headley
Team Leader Chaplaincy and Bereavement Services
Carolyn Headley joined the chaplaincy team in 2007.
She was a physiotherapist prior to ordination. She served in two parishes in London Diocese before teaching worship and spirituality in a theological college in Oxford for over ten years. She was then Priest-in-Charge of two parishes in rural Hampshire for 3 years, combined with a deanery education role.

Mrs Su Bishop Department Administrator Su Bishop is an experienced secretary who has worked with the Chaplaincy Department since 2005. Her administration support of the Chaplains is an essential part of the team's life. Su has a BSc in Health Studies. |

From 1997 - 2005 he was chaplain with the Royal Berkshire Hospital NHS Trust Reading. Prior to ordination, he was a staff nurse in ICU in Canada from whence he hails. |

Revd Anne Lindsay
Anne Lindsay has worked for the Trust since April 2007. Prior to that, she worked in north London, in the Chipping Barnet Team, comprising four churches in an LEP (local ecumenical partnership), which worked closely with other denominations. She also served as part of the Barnet Hospital Chaplaincy Team.
Before ordination to priesthood, Anne worked as a piano teacher; a school teacher; a college lecturer for adults with learning difficulties; and a counsellor (with experience particularly in bereavement counselling).
Assistant Chaplains
The team includes three Assistant Chaplains who help to cover the 24/7 Chaplaincy Service. Although they come into the hospital for a couple of hours each week, their primary role is to be part of the rota with the rest of the team, providing emergency Chaplaincy service at nights and weekends. So between us all we can offer care to people of all faiths and none, day and night.
From left to right they are:-
Revd Joanna Farrell, Revd Carol Gully, and Revd Ruth Schofield
