Our Performance

Portsmouth Hospitals NHS Trust (PHT) is responsible for the provision of hospital services to Portsmouth, Gosport and the surrounding area of South East Hampshire.

Our Strategic Aims are:

  • Deliver safe, high quality patient centered care
  • Develop a reputation for excellence in innovation, research & development and education in the top 20% of our peers
  • Become the hospital of choice for general, specialist and selected tertiary services.
  • A Trust that staff would recommend as a place to work and a place to receive treatment
  • Develop sufficient financial strengths to adapt to change and invest in the future.

We are monitored by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) against a range of targets and thresholds as published in the Operating Framework by both the CQC and the Trust Development Agency (TDA).

We provide our trust board with a monthly quality and performance report summarising quality, operational, finance and human resources performance which is also discussed at public board meetings.

For more detailed information on how the Trust is performing please refer to the Integrated Performance Report.
