Portsmouth Hospitals NHS Trust is re-launching its Type 1 diabetes service to meet the changing needs of patients with the condition. Portsmouth Hospitals NHS Trust is encouraging diabetics to give up smoking as it raises awareness of the risk of foot amputations during World Diabetes Day, 14 November. Diabetes can cause poor circulation, which often means people do not realise there is an ulcer or cut on their foot.
