| 21 February 2012 On 24 February 2012, Portsmouth Hospitals NHS Trust is supporting the British Heart Foundation and the life-saving work they do. A stand will be on show between 10.00am – 3.00pm in A level at the main entrance atrium for patients and their families to learn more about keeping a healthy heart and what to do if problems do occur. There will be displays relating to heart failure, resuscitation, research, rehabilitation, and of course the British Heart Foundation. One of the hospitals Heart Failure Nurses will be giving resuscitation demonstrations using a ‘resus Annie’ doll. “We are proud to be supporting the British Heart Foundation, and we hope to get a good turnout at the stands. One of the demonstrations will be resuscitating the Annie doll along to the ‘Staying alive’ tune which helps with the getting rhythm at the right speed. There are new resuscitation guidelines in place, so it is important that people understand these changes,” says a hospital spokesperson.
