Portsmouth Hospitals NHS Trust

Portsmouth Pilonidal Centre (PPC)

In Portsmouth we have extensive experience and offer a comprehensive service in treating pilonidal sinus disease.  We have treated patients from different parts of the UK as well as from all over the world.  Our work has been published and we teach internationally about the disease.  Many surgeons have visited us to learn our techniques and in turn we have also learnt from others about their procedures.

We will do our best to ensure that patients who are referred to us are seen as soon as possible.  We also see patients on recommendation by other patients, so long as their general practitioner (GP) is agreeable.

During the patient journey we see and assess patients, provide information and if surgery is required will discuss how this can be arranged.

We will support patients until both patient and doctor are satisfied with the outcome.  After this, follow up is usually by post or email, but we ask that patients are available for this kind of support indefinitely.

The staff in the PPC will do their best to ensure that you have an efficient and positive experience in our department.  We are always looking to improve our service and would value any feedback that you are able to give.  This can be done via email at the address below or you can write to:
