World Sepsis Day!
13 September 2017

Today is World Sepsis Day!

The sepsis team are in the atrium today until 3pm, promoting sepsis awareness and how to spot sepsis.

Sepsis is a life threatening condition that arises when the body’s response to an infection injures its own tissues and organs. It can be found in both adults and children. One person dies from sepsis every five minutes which means it kills 44,000 annually throughout the UK. This is more deaths than bowel cancer, breast cancer and prostate cancer cause all together!
