Meet some of our staff from the Cardiac High Care Unit – Ward C7.
Queen Alexandra Hospital holds a 23 bedded Cardiology Unit for patients with acute cardiac conditions. The unit looks after patients who have suffered heart attacks and those who need Coronary angioplasty, a procedure used to widen blocked or narrowed coronary arteries. Patients with cardiac arrhythmias and patients with heart failure are also treated on the unit.
Krissie is the Senior Sister for the Cardiology Unit and is incredibly proud of her team and the high level of care they all provide for their patients. “I have worked in Cardiology for 13 years and enjoy managing the team on C7,” explained Krissie. “Our feedback on from patients and their relatives has been fantastic which reflects the hard work from all our staff. We are committed to providing high standards of nursing care for all our cardiac patients.”
Patients who are admitted to C7 are cared for by an experienced cardiac team of nurses and doctors to ensure the patients of Portsmouth Hospitals NHS Trust receive the best care possible.
