The Nuclear Medicine and Nuclear Medicine Physics services are based at Queen Alexandra hospital and provide a comprehensive range of services in imaging and non-imaging diagnostic tests and radionuclide therapy. Arrival of new technology and radiopharmaceuticals has paved the way for more advanced and dedicated technology, as such the department are equipped with the state of art imaging facilities; one SPECT/CT, 2 SPECT gamma cameras, 1 mCT/PET (Time of Flight), multimodality image processing, top of the range gamma and beta sample counters and range of radionuclide calibrators.

The Nuclear Medicine Physics section is supported by one Consultant Clinical Scientist, two more Clinical Scientists, two Medical Physicists, two Medical Technical Officers and number of visiting trainees, students.
