Head and Neck

To our knowledge we are the only Head and Neck Unit to hold the Charter Mark.  This is a national standard for excellence awarded to organisations after an extremely rigorous selection and review process.  The Maxillofacial Surgeons (Mr Mellor and Prof Brennan) work closely with other medical members of the Head and Neck Cancer Multiprofessional Team, including ENT Surgeons, Radiotherapy, Radiology and Pathology Specialists.

Additionally the team also includes other essential staff such as dietitians, physiotherapists, speech therapists, nurses.  The Macmillan Specialist care nurse, Wendy White, is responsible for dealing with direct patient concerns and acts as a facilitator for the team.
