Education
The Department has a formal education and teaching programme for all junior medical staff, and have a very high success in postgraduate examinations from the Surgical Royal Colleges. We have regular teaching and study days for local dental and medical practitioners in addition to arranging national study days from time to time.
Professor Brennan is currently the regional tutor for Oral and Maxillofacial SHOs.

Burning desire to help or just being human
Firefighters Stuart Vince and Phil Jackson will be running 11 marathons starting on Sunday 20 May 2012, from the main entrance of Queen Alexandra Hospital to Land's End, before rowing back along the south coast to Gunwharf Quays,Portsmouth - all within 20 days.
