The Library Catalogue lists books and other resources available in the libraries at Queen Alexandra Hospital (location code H27) and St Mary's Hospital (location code H26) in Portsmouth, as well as items held by other NHS libraries across South West and South Central England.
You may borrow up to 8 items. The loan period for most items is 28 days but may be less for items in higher demand.
Items must be returned to the Library from which they were borrowed.
You will need your SWIMS Library card number.
Books borrowed from directly from our shelves. Items can be renewed once or twice depending on the loan type, in person, by telephone or online provided they have not been reserved by another reader or have reached their maximum number of renewals.

Fines may be charged on overdue items. These are charged per day, including weekends.
Currently fines are calculated at £0.50 per day.
If the item you require is not available at either St Mary's or Queen Alexandra Library, please complete a request a book form.
The Library will try and borrow a copy on your behalf.
