Access to full text electronic journals is available from a number of different resources. Use the A to Z list to browse an alphabetical list of all the e-journals available to the NHS.

NHS Evidence is managed by the National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE) and is available to both the public and Health care professionals.

The Cochrane Library
The Cochrane Library (CLIB) is the premier resource for information on the effectiveness of healthcare interventions, published by Wiley InterScience, and updated monthly. It is freely available to everyone in the UK, but java script and cookies must be enabled to use it.

Research briefings, reports, government documents, journal articles, briefings and websites on all aspects of social care and social work.
University Links
If you are a student, then you are likely to have some form of access to the Library service of whichever univeristy you happen to be with. A few of the more local universities are listed here.
Google-like searching of over 80 medical journals and Clinics, 50 leading medical textbooks across a wide range of specialties, clinically relevant drug information, images and patient handouts.

Map of Medicine displays knowledge in easy-to-use pathways. The pathways visually represent the steps and decision points in the care of a patient based on guidelines, recent evidence, and expert consensus.

BMJ Learning
BMJ Learning offers high-quality CME/CPD and postgraduate training for doctors and other healthcare professionals. It features hundreds of accredited, peer-reviewed learning modules in text, video, and audio formats.

Smartphone Apps & Resources
Some web-based resources can now be accessed via a smartphone or other mobile device.
PEDro
PEDro is a database containing over 20,000 searchable articles on the topic of Physiotherapy. The articles are a mix of systematic reviews, randomised controlled trials and practice guidelines.
OTseeker
OTseeker is a searchable database that contains abstracts of systematic reviews and randomised controlled trials relevant to occupational therapy. Some trials have been critically appraised to help assess the reliability and validity of the studys.
