A number of additional web based resources are available.  Please note that these are password protected and you will need to obtain a username and password.

If you are unable to access some of the links you may make a request to our library services in order to do so.  You will however, be required to provide your library membership details before login details can be released.

If you are not a member of the library you can make an application to register by using our registration form.

EBSCO


EBSCO databases includes electronic access to; EBSCOhost Research Databases, DynaMed, Nursing Reference Center and Rehabilitation Reference Center.  These data bases cover a wide diverse area of expertise in the clinical field, such as Dentistry & Oral Sciences Source, MEDLINE with Full Text, Psychology and Behavioral Sciences Collection, Rehabilitation & Sports Medicine Source and SocINDEX with Full Text.

Sci59 Online

Sci59 Online is an Open University resource to help junior doctors in training and medical students see how their skills, attitudes, preferences and aspirations map against specialties.

BMJ Learning

Over 300 short, interactive e-learning modules on clinical subjects.  BMJ Learning is particularly targeted at GPs, GP trainees, hospital doctors, medical trainees, practice nurses and managers, but the modules are also well-liked by other clinical professionals wishing to keep up-to-date with bite sized chunks of learning.

BMJ Health Intelligence

BMJ Publishing has created a web-based information resource on public health and commissioning, which seeks to gather together evidence, data, policies, targets, guidelines and local initiatives.  It is aimed at PCT commissioning managers, GPs, public health researchers, educators and students.

GreenFILEā„¢

GreenFILE, is a research database focusing on the environment. The coverage of this database is approximately 300,000 articles with approximately 5,000 ariticles being full text.

Teacher Reference Center (TRC)

A index of over 260 titles from the most popular teacher and administrator trade journals, periodicals, and books.  This database provides coverage on key education topics such as Assessment, Continuing Education, Current Pedagogical Research, Curriculum Development, Instructional Media, Language Arts, Literacy Standards, Science & Mathematics, and more for K-12 Teachers & Librarians.

ProQuest

Four journal collections (medicine, nursing and allied health, health management, psychology) which collectively comprise about 1000 journal titles.

LISTA

Is a bibliographic database provides coverage on subjects such as librarianship, classification, cataloging, bibliometrics, online information retrieval, information management and more. LISTA indexes nearly 600 periodicals plus books, research reports, and proceedings. With coverage dating back to the mid-1960s, it is the oldest continuously produced database covering the field of information science.
