Hampshire Healthcare Library Service

This new organization was created to support the information needs of staff from six NHS Trusts in Hampshire and South Central SHA.

MOD DMLS Central Library Services

MDHU Portsmouth was established on 1 April 2005 and is formed of Army, Navy and Air Force personnel. Servicemen and women take up a variety of medical posts including consultants, nurses and lab support staff.

University of Southampton Library Service

The University of Southampton Library Service has a branch on each of the six campuses and has a total of over 1.6 million books.

University of Portsmouth Library Service

The library has recently completed a new £11 million extension, adding 200 more study spaces, six rooms for group study, 200 new IT spaces, a new cafe and space for an extra 60,000 volumes.  There are over 10,000 electronic journals available, together with thousands of e-books, which can be accessed online.

Bournemouth University Library Service

The Library at Bournemouth University has won two national awards: in 2007 the Library Design Award of the Society of College, National and University Libraries (SCONUL) for a large university; and in 2009 the Times Higher Education Leadership and Management Award for "Outstanding Library Team".
