Ward E8

E8 is a 36 bedded acute medical ward. We accept our patients directly from the Medical Assessment Unit and have 16 beds allocated for the use of Endocrine patients.

We have a dedicated team of nursing staff and health care support workers, who pride themselves in providing high standards of patient care.

The Ward team encourages staff to harbor a non- judgmental, therapeutic environment that offers individualized care for each patient in a compassionate manner.

E8 also provides an innovative form of advocacy and care/ discharge planning.

The ward has excellent links to the diabetic centre at Queen Alexandra Hospital, social services, community matrons, occupational therapy and many other agencies to ensure the focus of care is holistic, with a multi disciplinary approach.
