Outpatient services:

The Diabetes department holds a number of specialist outpatient clinics, based primarily at Queen Alexandra Hospital. Other clinics are based at the Gosport War Memorial Hospital and in Petersfield.

Specialist clinics include antenatal clinics, diabetes foot clinics, young persons or adolescent diabetes clinics, diabetes renal clinics, intensive insulin clinics and pump clinics.

Apart from these, clinics are held on a regular basis, either in a one-to-one format or in group sessions, by the diabetes specialist nurses and dietitians. At the diabetes outpatient centre, we endevour to see all patients on time or as requested by the primary care physicians.

The clinics are run daily and the administration team and healthcare support workers always try and make sure that clinics run smoothly.
