Diabetes & Endocrinology Team

Meet the team

The Portsmouth Diabetes and EndocrineCentre has a multidisciplinary team consisting of medical staff (Consultants, trainee doctors), nursing staff (diabetes specialist nurses and healthcare support workers), dietitians, podiatrist and administration staff.

Each individual of the team is involved in helping out with the delivery of care of diabetes and endocrine patients who attend the centre.

In the last few years there have been considerable changes in many aspects of diabetes care.

These include:
  1. Changes in the delivery of diabetes care.
  2. Newer treatments and technologies used to treat diabetes.
  3. Keeping pace with national guidelines such as NSF, Diabetes UK, NICE technology reports etc.
On a day-to-day basis, the specialist diabetes team tries to embrace these changes within their clinical care delivery. We are equally dedicated to providing a high quality endocrine service and in the last few years, have developed a number of more specialist endocrine services, which would not have been possible without the presence of a multidisciplinary team.
